  • When is the RSVP deadline?

    Please reply by July 1st

  • Can I bring a date?

    If you have been together more than a year, sure! If not, no.

  • Are kids welcome at the ceremony/reception?

    Due to limited capacity at the ceremony and reception space, we are planning to have a fancy free let ‘er loose, grown-up kids (adults) only wedding. All are welcome at the evening gathering however, starting at 7:15pm at the Howe Sound Inn.

  • Are kids welcome at the evening gathering?

    Absolutely - come on down to the Howe Sound Inn starting at 7:15pm.

  • Where should I park?

    Hotel blocks have been arranged and we recommend staying in Squamish! Shuttles are arranged to go between the HSI and the Gondola. And then from the Gondola back to the evening gathering venue. If you are coming just for the day and want to go directly to the ceremony space, free (but limited) parking is available at the base of the Gondola.

  • What should I wear?

    Whatever you feel great in! The Gondola arrives 880 metres above sea level to the ceremony and reception venues. The ceremony will be outside and on uneven ground, so an extra layer just in case and comfortable shoes are recommended. Exact current conditions can be found here, and here

  • Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

    Ceremony is outdoors; reception and evening gathering are indoors. In the case of inclement weather, we will move the ceremony to a covered outdoor space.

  • Will I get altitude Sickness at the top of the Gondola?

    No.

  • I heard we will be hangliding down, is that true?

    Absolutely not, that is dangerous! We will be paragliding. Zorbs will also be provided.

  • What if I don't have a car?

    Depending on need, transportation will be provided:

    Sept 15: From Vancouver to Squamish
    Sept 16: From Squamish downtown area to Gondola, and from Gondola to the evening gathering location (Howe Sound Inn)
    Sept 17: From Squamish to Vancouver

    Skylinx also offers bus service between Vancouver and Squmish.

  • How long will the wedding last?

    12:30pm - Gondola arrival and upload
    2:00pm - Ceremony
    4:30pm - Reception
    7:15pm - evening gathering
    Late - finish

  • How do I pronounce Akane?

    Ah (as in “Ah, that’s how you pronounce Akane”)
    Ka…h (as in “I left my Ka in Hahhhvahd Yaaahd)
    N (as in “N”)

  • How do you pronounce Keith?

  • How does accommodation work again?

    We have secured hotel blocks with preferred pricing, and are gauging interest with the RSVP - please let us know there and we will share additional details shortly!

  • How does transportation work again?

    Depending on need, transportation will be provided:

  • Where's the gift registry?
